In this week’s episode of the Epic Success Podcast, I talk about how to Ditch Fear in the Brain so you can start choosing the life you want to live!

Everyone has experienced some sort of fear and it’s totally normal! Fear is a part of life. It actually is there to keep us alive. 

The amazing thing is that we have the power to rewire our brains for our advantage and actually ditch the fear that controls us. 

Imagine life (and business) without the anxiety stopping you cold from playing big! Grab a pen and paper and let’s dive into how to ditch fear in the brain!

The biggest take-aways from today’s episode are:

  • Fear is the thing that your brain uses to keep you safe.

Your brain is wired to keep you safe and in a familiar state. When you are in a difficult situation and you feel threatened, your brain will do everything it can to keep you safe and away from that threat. Fear floods your brain with fight or flight neurochemicals and it determines the way you respond to a situation. The cool thing is… Your brain can be wired to recognize and respond in a way you actually choose. [3:20]

  • Your brain sees anything bigger than what you are currently doing, as a threat.

Your brain is doing it’s best to keep you safe and familiar. And when you try to do something different… Your brain will see it as a threat. It doesn’t matter how safe or risky or big or small the different thing you want to do is. Your brain doesn’t view things as good or bad. It just sees it as different, and different is a threat.   • The situation is neutral. Your thinking is what creates an emotion and belief. 

Thoughts create your emotion. Thoughts and emotions repeated over time will create an automated belief in your brain. Those beliefs will create your identity. Good news! You can be the creator of your thoughts and therefore, create the life you’ve always dreamed of having! [14:37]

I want you to walk in peace and confidence, choosing the way you want to live and walking in your full purpose and mission! You can’t do that when your brain is operating out of fear. 

It’s time to wire your brain for peace and start choosing your thoughts, decisions, and actions around the inevitable fear you will feel.
